Sustainability

We are permanently working to improve our ecological and economic environmental performance in order to secure living conditions for current and future generations.

We particularly emphasize on the sourcing of our raw materials to ensure consistent quality. We are in continuous exchange with our partners in the countries of origin in order to constantly monitor the quality of the goods, incidences as well as the labour conditions of the local companies.

Key components of this are the AIPG GOOD PRACTICES FOR GUMS (GPG) which, for example, describe good practice in the collection of natural wild grown raw materials.

Quality matters and food safety requirements are an important issue in the entire food and food additive branch, and thus are of high importance also in case of natural gums such as Gum acacia. AIPG has now issued "Good Practices for Gums" (GPG, status 24th June 2011), giving recommendations on local collection, interim storage, transportation, warehouse storing and processing in facilities of the producing countries. This is accompanied by some practical recommendations set out in the practical Implementation Plan (19h July 2011) .
